Requirements: To qualify as a CBC student representative, you must be enrolled as a student, work for, of be affiliated with the CBC University you are applying for. Experience in the bicycling industry is a plus, but not required.
So what does this job entail?
Student reps are CBC’s presence on and around campus. We are a San Diego based company and work with schools all across the country so we cannot always have full time employees present at each school. We expect our reps to be our eyes and ears on campus.
Promotions - You will be responsible for promotions and on-campus marketing. This includes posting flyers, passing out coupons, and continually letting your fellow students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters know about what we are doing. We also expect you to inform us of any important events on campus that we may want to be involved with, and participate and represent CBC when doing so.
Dealer relationships - We also have several dealers and distributors set up around campus. We would like our student reps to maintain a relationship with these locations, as they are a vital part of the success of CBC. This entails visiting them every few weeks to check in on the bikes, see if they have any questions, or need to re-order. We talk to our dealers weekly, but it is nice to have a student body representative come by the shops as well. Please introduce yourself to shop management.
Customer assistance - You will be posted on our website as the official CBC campus rep for your school (if you desire). If CBC bike owners on campus have questions they may contact you. Customer service involves providing guidance and answering questions for current or potential customers. We do not recommend or expect you to fix and repair bikes, but instead point customers to a local dealer to have the work done.
